WOW I'm amazed when I saw that we gattered 60 users at a forum in Denmark. Its not the fact, that we gattered 60 users at this forum, but the fact, that we all come from different educational sites.
In Denmark, its normal that each educational trainig center keeps to them self. AND we normally have a forum under each training center. That is...We keep to ourself.
Alone?
HOW STUPID is that...We ALL do the same....Learn the same, work with the same problems, and STILL...In a small country like Denmark, we meet this attitude!
In the US NGH (National Guild of Hypnotists) each year have a HUGE convention in Boston, for an extended Week-end with SO many classes, seminars and trainng sessions. Good hypnotists meet and exchange ideas and show/share there knowleg, sharing it with all of there friends and colleagues.
Well....Denmark --> Boston --> Denmark ...LOTS OF US$ later, lots of hours in planes... Needless to say, not many Danes goes to the NGH Convention.
I desided to do SOMETHING about this...We have SO many good effective HypnoTherapists, but since we ALL keep to ourself we really dont share as much as we should and MAYBE wanned to! So I started a forum (www.hypnoseforalle.dk/forum ) to see if I could gatter members for a FREE week-end in my Hometown in the late summer. Sharing Info, holding 2-4 hours seminars etc. And BOY was I amazed....With in a short time periode we are now 60 at this forum! WOW... Remember...Denmark is a SMALL country. We are around 5 Mill people here! Around 4-500 Hypnotherapists... A small start, in a Small country, but hey...60 members from different forums/training. I feel a good week-end comming up, and DAMM...Im gonna have a good time sharing, listning and learning from the good people attending.

Lots of users DONT know when to quit...Or start! Start doing som serious education
Did you finish your one week basic hypnosis training? Maybe even did some "test runs" on friends or familie members?
What now? Just keep on working with the limited amount og training, OR get continue training? And WHERE can we get this training?
I KNOW that a lot of good people out there provides training, from Mr. Gerald Kein, Calvin Banyan and Im sure, a lot of othere people. Well...This is nice, good and all fine...But wheres the profession of hypnotism at the moment? Where is the educationplan for hypnotists? And for Therapists... Doing hypnosis can be learned really fast. Learning hypnosistherapi will take "a bit longer" and you know what...It takes EVEN longer to be good at it.
Being from Europe, (Denmark) we have to travel far to get ANY amound of Hypnosis, and then we even have to fligh across the world to get it. To attend NGH Convention in Boston, it costs me more then US$ 4.000...And thats not even education, but more an "meet the traineres" event.
I post this blog, to "provoke" any trainers/Leaders of the hypnosis community to get together, to provide us ALL an accredited education. I know, that even in the US you guys have ENDLESS rules, laws, and even from state to state these rules and laws varies making it HELL like to control and do education.
The MORE the states want to control, the more problems we have getting results accross to the users.
What do YOU think about this "situation" that the hypnotists are in right now. Is it "OK" or do we need more struckture to the educational marked, from the BASIC hypnotraining, across advanced training, to training courses?
From time to time we read and see in the press..."Crime done under the spell of hypnosis..." This week-end on Danish television we will AGAIN see this..."Can you make a law-abiding Dane do a bankrobbery or even murder with the help of hypnosis. DR2 tests the power of hypnosis".
What a Shame...That SOME people in this world of ours....Have the interessed to take something as beautiful as Hypnoterapy/hypnosis and turn it around...."What can I do with it......" to "What can I make you do with it......"
But serious; What IS possible with hypnosis? Some seems to think; "Well if you REALLY want it...Its possible"
Other; "If you are surgestable enough anything can be possible as long as its taken in small steps...Just look at stage hypnosis..."
Others again say; "What you contain, can come out during hypnosis...But you have to contain the idea or the capability of doing the deed in the first place before it will work"
Well I do think, that we just have to look as far as to adverts. They bombard us with info, feelings and pictures, smells etc. for an extentet periode...And guess what.. We buy there ideas and take the new brand of coffee or bread the next time we go shopping.
Is that hypnosis or what? SURE it is...It bypassing our critical factor, and brings us rigth back to the grandma's kitchen and here homemade jam....EACH time they hit on something that is anchored to us.
So...What do YOU think is possible with hypnosis, and why? Come with your commentar...
LET's UNDERLINE that ALL NGH members are committed to use hypnosis for good purposes only, and we have a strict code of conduct to abide to!
We have all been there. Commenting a "scientific study" and being happy that "The study" finally found the way to your desktop..."FINALLY something to promote".
Then the ROCK hits you rigth in the face when your findings are commented by psychologists and psychiatrists/doctors or maybe even your colleague hypnotists as beeing "Non scientific" study.
This article was from Dr. Dorothy M Neddermeyer PhD, and she used a study from American Health Magazine saying that;

Needlesss this comment released a flow of nice comments from my good friends and colleague hypnotists but it wasnt all roses...One had a comment to the "survey";

WOW But he is somewhat right...Or is he? I really cant say. Its true that we have to be VERY carefull when commenting "Scientific studies" but then again...We really should be open to studies like these. When "comparing" to cases, involving humanes and hypnosis we simply cant call it a "scientific study" due to differences in the two cases...Or can we?
If I look back at my clients cases, I can see case after case where "Doctores" had have there change to help them. During YEARS of treadment, but in a lot of cases they didnt do it for the clients. But after even a FEW hypnosis sessions (2-3 sessions) they left there problems in the past and recovered just fine. Now THAT is the result or "Scientific studies" we are looking for, The EVERY day stories...That are SO masive that the public CANT disregard them!
The CLIENTS know who they feel, and act after they have encountered hypnosis and what that did for THERE lifes. There feedback is our "Scientific studies" and wetter its "tested on an unvilling follow group" or not, really doesnt matter....Its the results that matter!
Hypnosis makes your clients achieve results!
So remember to do follow up work with your clients...Let them mail you with there comments..Get there permission to use there comments etc. THAT is our study!
Pls. leave a comment and you idea to how to build trust in the public with "studies etc).

WOW...What a year.
I spend a few days of august at the NGH Convention and even enjoyed a 2 days seminar with Gerald Kein. After this, 3 full days of GREAT meeting people, seeing really nice seminars and learning ALOT of stuff.
WOW...What a trip...
But you know...Then best trip of the year was with a client...A client that REALLY enjoyed working for a better life. He REALLY was nervouse when he arrived with his fear for hights, but he was SO determent on loosing that fear...You know what...He did! EASY... After an instand induction, we did regression, and ended up where his bigger brother took him up in the HIGH (for a child) rooftop of the garage... Couldnt get down and had to wait for the dad to come home and help him down. So when ever he gets up high, he gets that feeling...It all comes back to him.
After beeing in hypnosis for 5 min. (YES...5. Min INCLUDING a instand induction) he saw how silly (his word) this was....And he desided NOT to be affaid of THIS any more! Well to be honnest...I didnt belive in him, but took him out of the hypnosis after only 7 min. went outside (We live on the 2. floor and can go directly out on the Flat top roof) on the roof and he went ALL the way to the eage of the roof looked down and said..." Well that was easy..."
I was stunned but that REALLY was all for him! 3 month latere I got a letter from him; "Hi...Just wanted to say...I have now been at the Eiffel tower Paris and MANN it was fun...So thanks for my 7 minuttes..."
WOW was I happy for this guy.....
Well..its now newyear, and I really are looking forward to NEW exiting costumers during the new year. More people letting go there problems using hypnosis to do so...WOW...I simply cant wait...
